We do not sell packages off a price list. We look at your roof, your switchboard and the way your household actually uses power, then design to what is there. Two houses on the same street often need very different systems.

Roof pitch, the number of planes and the space you actually have all change what fits. We work it out on site rather than assuming a standard layout.

North is best, east and west still work

East-west splits spread generation across the morning and afternoon, which suits households that are out midday. We pick the split that matches your day.

Shading matters more than people expect

One badly placed tree can cost a string. We check it on the day rather than guessing from satellite, and design the layout around it.

Lachlan Roberts started his apprenticeship at 16 and was named Apprentice of the Year in 2017. Vivid has been his business for nine years, and it is still his own accredited team on the roof rather than whoever was available that week.

That is the practical reason we can stand behind the workmanship, and the reason we will tell you when a job is not worth doing. A subcontractor is paid to install. We have to come back if it is wrong.

The questions we get every week.

How much is the battery rebate really worth?

It is set by the Cheaper Home Batteries Program at 6.8 small-scale technology certificates per usable kWh for systems certified between 1 May and 31 December 2026, at roughly $39.90 a certificate. The full rate applies to the first 14 kWh, then tapers. On 1 January 2027 the factor drops to 5.7. We apply it as a discount on your quote rather than making you claim it.

Will you tell me if solar is not worth it for my place?

Yes, and we do. Heavy shading, a roof due for replacement, a rental you are leaving, or very low daytime use can all make it a poor investment. We would rather lose the job than install something that disappoints you.

Why won't you put a savings figure on this page?

Because nobody can honestly promise one. Your saving depends on your usage pattern, your retailer, your feed-in tariff and future prices. We will show you the system size, the rebate and the price. The arithmetic after that is yours, and we will walk you through it on the call.

Do you use subcontractors?

No. Installs are done by our own Clean Energy Council accredited team. It is the main reason we can stand behind the workmanship.

Can you add a battery to the solar I already have?

Usually yes, depending on your existing inverter. It is one of the most common jobs we are asked about. Tell us what is on the roof and we will tell you what it will take.

What areas do you cover?

The Gold Coast and surrounds, including Oxenford, Pacific Pines, Helensvale, Ormeau, Robina, Hope Island, Ashmore, Maudsland and Upper Coomera.
